What the system handles

Everything around
your product content.

Product descriptions that sell

Short description with highlights

The key buying arguments are visible straight away.

FAQs for every product

Questions that would otherwise lead to abandoned purchases are answered in advance. Five by default, more if needed.

Complete translations

Descriptions, FAQs, titles and variants such as flavour or colour. Brand names are recognised and not translated.

Consistent product images

Remove backgrounds, centre products and add a custom background on request.

Attributes for filters

Whether vegan, gluten-free or technical features: attributes are recognised and made available for filters and SEO.

Data for marketplaces

Product and variant data is prepared to suit Amazon, Galaxus and other marketplaces.

Ongoing operation

New products and changes are detected automatically and processed shortly afterwards.

Collection assignment

Products are automatically placed in the right categories and collections.

Why it pays off

Revenue is often lost
on the product page.

Many shops do not lose customers because of the price, but because product information is incomplete, unclear or inconsistent across channels.

Inconsistency
54%

have abandoned a purchase

because product content did not match across channels.

Description
53%

have abandoned a purchase

because of incomplete or poorly written titles and descriptions.

Returns
71%

have returned an item

because the product did not match its description in the online shop.

How the module works

From product title
to finished product page.

All it takes is the product title from your shop. The output is finished product pages with attributes, tables, mandatory information, FAQs and translations.

1

Find data

The system researches the product data from the manufacturer or uses another reliable source. On request, existing shop data takes priority.

2

Structure and check

Attributes, nutritional values, ingredients, allergens and mandatory information are extracted and converted into the required formats.

3

Create content

Descriptions, highlights, attributes, FAQs and SEO copy are written in a consistent, persuasive style.

Translate and publish

All content is translated and published directly in your shop and provided as marketplace data.

Especially strong for food

Mandatory information
shown correctly.

Strict rules apply to food in Switzerland and Germany. The module maps mandatory information and formats so that products can be presented completely and compliantly, without updating every product by hand.

Further requirements, such as specific claims or table formats, are defined during onboarding.

Food setup
  • Calculate and display the Nutri-Score where applicable
  • Nutrition table per 100 g, 100 ml or daily dose
  • Values per serving, derived from manufacturer data
  • Show the ingredients list and allergens correctly
  • Determine the required legal name
  • Derive the recommended intake from the data
Result

What you have
in hand afterwards.

We measure your catalogue before the run and after it. Those two sets of numbers are both the sign-off and the proof of what you paid for.

The figures come from your own shop, not from a brochure.

Counted before and after
  • Articles with complete attributes
  • Articles with description and short description
  • Articles with FAQ
  • Articles in every language you want
  • Articles with a shop-quality image
  • Articles with complete mandatory details
  • Duplicates and articles without stock
How it runs

Four steps
to a finished catalogue.

Every step has a fixed price you know in advance. After each one you decide whether the next follows.

1

Data audit

We read your catalogue and deliver a report: how many articles, how many fields filled, how many without an image, how many duplicates, where mandatory details are missing. One to two days, credited against the work.

2

Sample run on 20 articles

We set the target fields, the tone and the rules, and show you the result on twenty real articles. Only once that fits does it run across the whole catalogue.

3

Full run

The catalogue is processed on a copy, not directly in your live shop. With large ranges we start with the articles that carry the revenue.

Handover and count

Back into your shop or as a file in the format you need. Plus the count before and after, field by field.

Your agency

Somebody else is building your shop?
That is fine.

We do not build shops, we prepare the data. Whether your agency, your developer or you yourself build the shop makes no difference to us.

A migration is the cheapest moment for this. Every article has to be touched, remapped and rewritten anyway. Doing the cleanup at that moment costs almost no extra effort. Later it is a project of its own.

How it works in practice
  • We read from the old system and hand back into the new one
  • Import and export via interface, CSV or feed
  • We deliver in the format your agency needs
  • Responsibility for the shop stays with your agency
  • Access only as far as the work requires
  • On request we speak to your agency directly
Two ways

Clean it up once
or keep it maintained.

Either way we bill per processed article, staged by volume. You only decide whether we go through your catalogue once or stay connected.

Way 1 · One-off

Clean up the catalogue

Your current catalogue is worked through once: data audit, sample run on twenty articles, full run, handover with a count before and after. After that it is done. No subscription, no minimum term.

Fits when the catalogue is stable and little new comes in, or when you are moving to a new shop system.
Way 2 · Ongoing

Keep new articles maintained

After the set-up the connection stays in place. New articles are picked up and processed as soon as they appear in the shop, at the same article rates. Either on demand when you get in touch, or with monthly support that covers monitoring and interface maintenance.

Fits when new stock arrives regularly and nobody should have to keep up by hand.
i
What counts as an article. An article is one product record including all variants, counted once per run. Unchanged articles are not charged again.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

The key answers at a glance.

Which shops is Product data and content suitable for?
For Shopify, WooCommerce and other shop systems, particularly with large catalogues, several languages or products carrying mandatory details such as food.
Which languages are possible?
Any number. One language is included in the article price, each further one is added per article and staged by volume. Brand names are recognised and left untranslated.
Where does the product data come from?
The system researches it at the manufacturer or uses another reliable source. On request your existing shop data takes precedence.
What does Product data and content cost?
We start with a data audit that is credited against the work. After that we bill the set-up once per shop and the processing per article, staged by volume. For ongoing operation either with monthly support or with no monthly fee at all, on demand.
Do we also pay for articles that do not change?
No. Only what is actually processed is charged. A catalogue of 2’000 articles with five new ones a month costs exactly those five articles in ongoing operation.
What counts as one article?
One product record including all its variants, counted once per run. It covers description, short description, attributes and FAQ in one language.
Do we need a subscription?
No. In the on demand option there is no monthly fee. You get in touch when new articles are ready and pay by the same scale, with a minimum per job. Monthly support takes that minimum away and covers monitoring and interface maintenance.
Can we start with only part of the catalogue?
Yes, and with large catalogues we recommend exactly that: first the articles that carry the revenue, look at the result, then the rest. It lowers the initial outlay and the risk.
Do you work directly in our live shop?
No. The work happens on a copy. Nothing is written back until you sign it off, and on request in stages rather than all at once.
What if we do not like the result?
That is what the sample run on twenty real articles is for. Only once tone, fields and structure fit does it run across the catalogue. Until then you have paid for the audit and nothing else.
How long does it take?
The audit one to two days. The sample run a few days. The full run depends on volume; for a few thousand articles it is usually one to two weeks.
